Joshua Craig : Underwater

I’m fascinated by water drop shots I’ve seen around. This is my first attempt at making some of my own.

I followed a guide I saw on the Strobist site.

I used a canon 580EX II off camera left at 1/4 power. It was triggered with a Canon ST-E2 wireless transmitter. I basically used the exact same technique from the Strobist tutorial.

The colors come from a combination of a really poor painting of mine and an ad on the back of a magazine I had laying around.

It was a lot of fun to do and I will definitely be trying this again, hopefully with better results.

There’s another photo I originally toyed around with submitting on my site http://www.joshuarcraig.net/the-assignment-underwater/
